Career Seminars
Career development is sometimes also referred to as
employee development, or even human capital development and is generally
directed towards current agency employees. Career development is designed to help current employees
advance within an agency and improving the agency while improving themselves. A good career development program can
be a retention (and even recruitment) aid.
Federal Career Experts can:
- Help
an agency design and implement a career development program.
- Provide
career counselors or consultants on a contract basis.
- Provide
training and assistance for agency HR and Training specialists to improve
their career consulting skills.
- Deliver
high quality employee development seminars to current agency
employees. The seminars can
be adjusted to fit the needs of any customer and can contain any or all of
the following topics:
- Career
exploration (including assessment instruments if desired)
- Discovering
and preparing for opportunities
- Résumés
and applications (including automated application systems)
- Interviewing
Career
coaching
Career transition consists of helping employees who are
potentially affected by agency reorganizations make a transition to a new
career, a new agency, or the private sector. Federal Career Experts trainers and consultants are
primarily former federal employees who understand the unique needs of federal
employees facing transitions.
Federal Career Experts can:
- Provide
career transition or outplacement consultants to work individually with
employees. Based on agency
needs, these consultants can be experts in the federal sector, the private
sector, or both.
- Deliver
high quality career transition or outplacement seminars to agency
employees who are potentially affected by an agency reorganization, base
closing or downsizing. Like
our employee development seminars, these seminars can be adjusted to fit
the needs of any customer and can contain any or all of the following
