Federal Pre-Retirement Seminars

Federal Career Experts can provide effective classroom based training in the career development and retirement areas.  These courses can be custom designed to meet the needs of any audience.

Pre-retirement seminars are available for all types of federal employees, such as:

• CSRS (including CSRS Offset)

• Special category employees (including Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Air Traffic Controllers and Military Technicians)

Our standard seminar is two days long and covers the following information

• Retirement eligibility
• Retirement computations
• Survivor annuities
• Federal insurance after retirement
• Taxes
• Social Security
• Medicare
• The Thrift Savings Plan
• Financial planning
• Estate planning
• Retirement living

A one-day seminar would include everything through the Thrift Savings Plan. Longer seminars could include more information as well as individual retirement counseling sessions.

Career Planning & Career Transition Assistance for Federal Government Agencies Seminars

Career seminars can be anywhere from one to three days in length, depending on the options desired.  These seminars can cover:

• Résumé and application preparation and editing (both federal and private sector)

• Interview preparation (including mock interviews, if desired)

• The job search process (federal or private sector)

• Self-employment opportunities

• Career interest assesments
